Since there are so many videos and recipes online on how to “do it yourself”, honestly, I became addicted to this. I keep searching and making stuff that even i didn’t previously need or used in my household. Mostly, because I didn’t want to spend money on small things I didn’t feel as necessary.
Skin care products cost crazy money, and also, when I get into that section, I am bombed with all sorts of products I don’t quite know how to use or what they do. However, face masks are definitely a necessity from time to time – especially for acne period, such as the variation of weather , as spring or fall – that’s when our face skin suffers the most.
Here is a tested and proved to work DIY recipe for a face mask that helps to calm the showing up of acne. It is called the ACV mask – the Apple Cider Vinegar mask.
- 1 tsp apple cider vinegar (diluted)
- 2 tsp green tea
- 1 tsp organic raw honey
First of all, prepare the green tea and let it cool off. Then, add 2 tbsp of the green tea in a bowl, and mix in the apple cider vinegar along with the honey. Mix it well until they all combine together. To get a smoother and thick mixture, you may need to add some more honey, or even sugar – sugar will act as a scrub in your mask – but that is totally up to you.
Gently scrub it onto your face and let it dry and soak in all the ingredients. The best time to use any type of facial masks, as well as this mask, is right after a shower – since the skin pores are opened up from the heat. After 15-20 minutes, rinse off the mask from your face with warm water. Don’t put any cream or lotions after using. Let your face clean overnight, and you will see the results in the morning!
