Hands free way to clean your toilet

Keeping an entire household clean, especially with children, is a 24/7 job. Once you re done with the kitchen, you start cleaning the living room – and then you see that the kitchen is a mess again. Never ending…

However, one of the things I really don’t like is to wipe windows and clean the toilet.

That’s why I was amazed when I found out about this “hands free” possibility to clean the toilet! Bath bombs!

And they are so easy to make rather than  buying them constantly. All you need are three very cheap and basic ingredients:

  • 1 cup of baking soda
  • 1/4 cup of citric acid
  • a spoon of any dish liquid

First of all, you will also need a large bowl. Put the cup of baking soda inside and than the citric acid and mix them together well, before adding the dish liquid. After adding the liquid, mix the mixture with a whisk.

Then, you will need a silicone ice cube tray. Press the mixture in the molds, making sure to wipe away any excess. If you add more dish liquid than in this recipe – your mixture will grow bigger, which is very normal. So, make sure you have enough molds and containers to use the mixture. Put the molds with the mixture in a dark and cool place – but not a refrigerator, and let them stay overnight.

Use this awesome DIY toilet bombs every third day, and you will get a fresh smell in your bathroom as well as a clean toilet! Once they start making the water in the toilet fuzzy – they are working and you can sense the smell immediately!
